This year's race marked the 40th running of the Klondike Road Relay, with huge numbers of runners coming out in force to celebrate.

The Air North GOAL (Giving Our Athletes a Lift) Program provides travel certificates to athletes who are members of the Sport Yukon member organization. Each travel certificate entitles the athlete to one flight segment for the purpose of participating in a recognized sporting event outside of the territory. These events include competitions, try-outs, training sessions, tournaments, and more.

Ken Sylvestre, cornerstone of the Yukon's running and cycling communities, was inducted into the Yukon Sports Hall of Fame on May 28, 2023.

Jamie Shaw, beloved teacher, coach, and athletic director, was inducted into the Yukon Sports Hall of Fame on May 16, 2023.

Two more athletes have been identified in joining varsity teams.

Four Yukon athletes made the jump to post-secondary teams in the fall of 2022.

George Arcand, Sport Yukon’s long-serving president of over 20 years, had his final board meeting on Sept. 26.
