We promote sport opportunities for Yukoners, from grassroots to elite levels, ensuring excellence at every junction
Safe Sport
Creating a culture where everyone can thrive is a shared responsibility.
Safe and inclusive sport environments make sport rewarding and enriching for all. Safe Sport Training was developed to help anyone involved in sport to promote physical, psychological and social health in line with the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport.
Respect in Sport
Sport Yukon believes we must do all we can to ensure sport remains fun, safe and respectful for all participants.
We are committed to empowering our stakeholders with the skills to prevent bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination.
Concussion Awareness
Since there are varied circumstances in which a concussion can occur, it’s very important for coaches, parents, athletes, teachers and community leaders to be aware of the signs, symptoms, and what to do when a concussion occurs.
Sport Yukon is committed to increasing concussion education and awareness that will assist in gaining the knowledge and skills required to ensure the safety of athletes and participants.
Inclusion in Sport
Sport Yukon enhances opportunities for all Yukoners in their pursuit of excellence and their enjoyment of participation. We model pro-active behaviours and actions to ensure people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities feel welcome, respected and at home.
Being inclusive means we all follow best practices for what sport should and can be so everyone can get the most out of their participation.
